Masa Kamata has a successful background in cost segregation studies, covering 1.5 million square feet with a total basis of $137 million, which has helped his clients increase cash flow on their investments.
Prior to joining Rohde, Ottmers & Siegel Realty, Masa was an Associate with Kennedy Wilson in commercial real estate investment sales.
Preceding Kennedy Wilson, Masa spent eight years as Managing Member at Quality Cost Segregation Group, LLC in San Antonio. As a cost segregation consultant, his focus was on conducting engineering-based cost segregation studies, analyzing depreciation schedules, offering seminars and consulting with property owners and their tax advisors.
From 2002 through 2015, Masa was an Associate with Oroian, Guest & Little, P.C. During his tenure at the San Antonio CPA firm, his practice area evolved from preparation of federal income tax returns to depreciation consultation on commercial/investment properties as well as business consulting.
Masa is a former group brands manager for the Fortune 200 Company, Kellogg, where he worked in marketing name brand products like Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran and Corn Pops.
His experience in Japanese, U.S. and Mexican markets has proven his ability to build a strong rapport both cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
He is a CCIM candidate and a member of RECSA, the South Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the San Antonio CPA Society.
